The Phantom Academy on-site short courses offer the compact format of our webinars with the addition of hands-on experience. These courses will be taught at our Wayne, NJ facility with all recommended guidelines for proper social distancing being followed.  Space is limited so be sure to let us know if you are interested in attending.

On-Site Intensive Courses

The Phantom Academy on-site intensive courses courses cover a variety of topics. These courses can be held in Wayne, NJ at the Vision Research facility, on-location (example Colorado School of Mines), or at a customer facility.*  The courses place a key focus on hands-on learning and guidance by experienced applications professionals from industry and academia.

Phantom EssentialsOur ‘Phantom Essentials’ course, at the Phantom Academy of High-Speed Imaging, will introduce attendees to photographic principles, high-speed imaging, and Phantom camera operations. It allows attendees to learn the skills necessary to confidently command a Phantom camera in test study environments. Ballistic and Missile Range Studies

Ballistic Research The ballistics course allows attendees to learn the skills necessary to expertly command a Phantom camera in a ballistic or range study environment. This course is beneficial to defense, weapon safety, and forensic experts. See the Syllabus

Transparent Flows

Mach Diamonds The “Imaging Transparent Flows” course will introduce attendees to various non-invasive imaging techniques.  These techniques include imaging common highly refractive flows and less common refractive index gradients which are invisible to the human eye.  The key topics include brightfield imaging, shadowgraphy, Schlieren imaging (including color), background-oriented Schlieren (BOS), and interferometry.  See the Syllabus
