The Phantom S990 provides unmatched machine vision capabilities. It offers the high quality Phantom Flex 4K image throughput to 16 CoaXpress (CXP) channels to deliver up to 8Gpx/sec of data throughput.
The Phantom S990 streams up to 8 Gpx/sec throughput by using either 4, 8, or 16 CXP channels. The camera streams data directly into PCI Express frame grabbers or long-record time DVRs. It comes with GPIO for Trigger, Event, Memgate, Strobe, and Ready signals, and Time Code In/Out with a time stamp on the frame.

The S990 doesn’t use PCC – PCC communicates to traditional Phantom cameras using the telnet interface and our telnet protocol, while the S990 is controlled through the Gen-I-Cam protocol, then users can process the images directly on their systems.
No, you don’t need to - You may also control the camera through CXP and Gen-I-Cam. The GPIO is an alternative method. You may either design your own GPIO cable or purchase one from Vision Research.
