Virginia Tech has recently added a Phantom VEO 710L for their Cavitation, Propulsion, and Multiphase Flow laboratory (https://ocoutier.wixsite.com/cavitationlab/research). Devoted to multiphase and multi-component flows with an extra emphasis on cavitation, the Laboratory hopes to investigate high speed multiphase flows; one example of this could be the growth of a cavitation bubble created with a pulsed laser. As more potential uses for the camera emerge in the lab, students will be able to get hands-on experience that will lead them throughout their professional lives.
