The University of Waterloo’s Multi-Scale Additive Manufacturing Laboratory ( recently obtains a Phantom VEO 710S for research purposes. The laboratory, focusing on next generation additive manufacturing processes, is using the equipment to capture process signatures in additive manufacturing processes such as laser powder bed fusion, laser powder fed, material jetting and binder jetting. With a focus on research and scholarly work, the team will be able to expand their monitoring capabilities, allowing students and researchers to make greater strides in industrial and manufactural studies.
