Chungnam National University (CNU) (http://plus.cnu.ac.kr/html/en/), located in Daejeon, South Korea, has recently obtained a Phantom VEO 410L. Chungnam’s flagship college, the College of Engineering, has contributed to the growth and development of national industry as a whole for years, and now with more advanced technology, it can hopefully accomplish even more. The Fluid Engineering Laboratory, a research resource within the School of Mechanical Engineering hopes to use the camera to study bubble and liquid velocities in an area-varying horizontal channel. Tying in with the lab’s main research topics of two-phase flow physics and flow visualization, the information gathered will not only give students practical knowledge, but indispensable career experience as well.
