A Phantom v1210 allowed students at Florida Institute of Technology to study the small occurrences of jets and sprites during thunderstorms in the area. Filmed from the tops of and inside campus buildings the students compiled data that would not have been available without a high-speed camera. Electrical charges, such as lightning travel faster than the human eye can process so small, important, details become invisible without assistance.
